Here are a few rudimentries of survival in this new world, things you probally already know, and if you don't already know them you have been lucky to survive this far.
1) Never go anywhere unarmed - Sometimes we have to take on the occasional zombie, this is enevitable. Be prepared, be armed.
2) Never carry less then 2 weapons - You never know when you will need a back up.
3) Do not do things outside that can be done inside - Sharpening weapons, reloading guns (if you have any) puting on jackets, tying shoe laces etc. If you can do it inside, do it inside.
4) Be vigilant - Always be aware of your surroundings, zombies are never more dangerous then when you let them surprise you.
5) Don't stand your ground in an impossible fight - We have got all the zombies we need. Unless you are very unlucky, you will be able to outrun any zombie, or even group of zombies. If you need to run, run, there is no shame in it. Anyone who told you otherwise is already a zombie.
6) Always be ready to move - You can never tell when you may have to escape a hoard. It doesn't matter how well your stronghold is defended if enough zombies turn up it will fall.
