Dawn of the dead (2004)
Dir. Zack Snyder

A remake of Romero's classic, and it is pulled off with great success.

As with it's predecessor a group of survivors seek refuge in the shopping mall. The characters drive the story with internal tensions constantly bubbling under the surface.

It is also one of the few films to deal with decisions involved if you know someone is infected.

Good story, led by solid believable characters. Plenty of tension and some truly horrific scenes. It's just great. Although not one to watch if you are running low on hope.

It is lucky that the zombies outside don't move like the ones in this movie, or we would all be in trouble. The survivors plans are pretty sound, but group tensions and dangerous "me first" attitudes cause some nightmare situations. Also propane tank bombs, not sure of the personal safety risks there.
