Aloha Alone

Had a close escape. I was out looking for supplies. Found a store with loads of tinned stuff, but got too excited and didn't keep a look out.

One of THEM came into the store, I stupidly left the front door open. Luckily I had my tiki sword with me. I'll send a photo soon.

It took two good hits to drop the zombie, but my sword held up fine. I was really surprised!!

Managed to drag back to the studio 43 tins of fruit and beans.

Going back tomorrow to get more. Did spot a shopping trolley in the steam on the way back, I'm going to get that first.

Not seen anyone else alive for days...

Hi tikiracer,

Good to hear you are surviving

Thank you for your tale, I am a little concerned that you took a weapon you weren't sure about, that could of proved fatal, what about your back up?

Anyway, I would love to get a shot up and a weapon review if you would be so kind.

I haven't seen anybody for a long time now either, it's a bit bleak.

Keep in touch, and be careful that your bean farts don't attract more of the undead.

Update from tikiracer

Aloha Alone

Had a close escape last night. I had the mp3 player up a bit too loud and attracted some of THEM. Just the two, they were right outside the door, when I opened it to go check on the generator.

Lucky I took your advice and have made up a steel fiji war club and use a craving chisel as backup. The club made short work of them. Did get stuck in the skull of the last one though. Going to trim a little off the back of it.

Hope you're still surviving.

Update from tikiracer: getting better at this surviving

Hi Alone

Hope you're still safe.

Had some fun the other day. Made a bit too much noise re-inforcing the doors and windows inside the studio.

Ended up with about 10 of those undead moaning gits, banging their heads on the walls.

I went to the top floor [it's a printers, or was]. Found some real big tins of ink and dropped then on the heads of the zombies.

Bingo, instant death and art - all in one go.

It made a mess of them, cyan seemed to work best!! Go figure.

Stay safe

Hey tikiracer,

Good to hear that you are still doing well, and that you are coping better with your situation. I am a little concerned with the relish you seem to be showing for the kill.

It is important that we keep hold of our humanity, or at least what is left of it!

Alone out.

PS: I imagine that cyan was the most effective due to the denser pigment used in cyan ink over that of other inks. I guess black didn't do to badly either?

Update from tikiracer: getting better at this surviving pt2

Hi Alone

Cool you're still with us.

How many more are in contact? Maybe we could try and join up and build like a new town of just survivors. Where are you?

I think you'd be right about the black ink, but I used it all to black out the windows in the studio. I've kept the top set clear so I get some daylight, ran out of candles 2 days ago. Aren't the days short...

Plan to go on a raid tonight, activity has been low, need some more stuff. Hope it rains, have you noticed they can't hear or see so well went it rains?

Keep alive

zombies outside response

Hi Tikiracer,

Still here, good to hear that you are keeping your studio well equipped and protected. Good luck with your raid, but be careful as there are still plenty of dangers out there, zombies being just the biggest.

I like the idea of a new town of survivors, but I have seen encampments fall all too easily in the past. Mainly due to human nature, even when united against a common foe, people will still be people. Back biting, greed, treachery, all for a little power or worse. Maybe when the worst of this is over we will get better and pre-haps learn something. If any of us survive at all...

For now I keep moving around, I feel better not getting settled. It can make for some hairy moments along the way but mostly I stay pretty safe, considering. As they say, but for the grace of a well sharpened axe, go I.

Contact me after your raid, tell us how it went.

Alone out,
